Our outreach efforts include:
- Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) Screening to support early detection and management, especially for those at increased risk.
- Cancer Screening:
- HPV Screening Clinics designed to reduce barriers and increase access to cervical cancer prevention.
- Breast Cancer Screening Event
- Colorectal Screening Pathways
- Diabetic Retinopathy
- Prediabetes and Diabetes Screening
- Support for Displaced Communities, such as assisting evacuees from Sandy Lake First Nation during wildfire displacement by offering care, supplies, and connection to services.
- Presence at Powwows and Community Events, where our team shares important health and wellness information, provides culturally safe care, and builds relationships rooted in trust and respect.
At IIPCT, we are committed to supporting Indigenous individuals and families within our catchment who may not have regular access to a primary care provider. Through our outreach initiatives, we bring care directly to the community — meeting people where they are, in ways that honour their experiences and respect their needs.
Our goal is to ensure that all Indigenous people in our region — especially those without a regular provider — have access to timely, preventive, and compassionate care. We believe health care should be community-driven, culturally grounded, and accessible to all.
